Dr. Khalid Mohammad MD, FACP is an experienced Pulmonary, Critical Care and Interventional Pulmonary Specialist with a special interest in early diagnosis and management of lung. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine.
He provides specialized care for patients with pleuro-pulmonary disease, lung nodules and central airway obstruction, among other conditions. He performs a range of interventional procedures to diagnose pulmonary conditions, including transbronchial and endobronchial biopsies, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) to diagnose lymph node enlargement in the chest, and Electromagnetic Navigational Bronchoscopy to diagnose lung nodules. He also performs minimally invasive procedures to treat malignant and benign diseases of the central airways, including trachea-bronchial stenting, laser & cryotherapy assisted tumor debulking, and airway dilation. He is proficient in Percutaneous Tracheostomies.
Dr. Mohammad has over 20 years of experience delivering high quality compassionate care to his patients. He has been a faculty in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Pine Bluff and Director of the Pulmonology Department, Pulmonary Function Lab and Advanced Bronchoscopy Unit at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pine Bluff.
He has also published several original research papers in reputed medical journals, involved in various professional organizations and served on the editorial board of journals.
