Dr. Muhammad Ali Raza MD, MBA.

Dr. Muhammad Raza is a board certified physician specializing in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with a special interest in Pulmonary Hypertension, Asthma, and noninvasive ventilator management of sleep apnea in heart failure patients. He has been serving patients in the Dallas area since 2020 as part of a robust high acuity team at the Medical City of Plano.

Dr. Raza's interest in Pulmonary Hypertension led him to start the first Pulmonary hypertension program at the University of South Carolina and became part of a growing community treating very ill patients with this orphan disease. He then moved to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to Chair the Critical Care Division at the Mafraq Hospital, a 550-bed facility managing complex pulmonary patients and Level 1 trauma center.

In 2012, Dr. Raza joined the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, as the Director of Medical ICU at the 500-bed Fairview hospital, where he chaired the Critical Care committee and served as core faculty for residency and fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Graduate Medical Education Program. During his stay at the clinic, he was awarded multiple commendations for teaching residents and advanced practice providers. He was also the associate director of the Respiratory Therapy program at the clinic managing more than 400 respiratory therapists. He holds an MBA in Healthcare from Baldwin Wallace University.

As a physician, Dr. Raza is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to his patients. He works closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that take into account their unique needs and preferences. Dr. Raza is also actively involved in research and has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals. He  is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and also served as a faculty at the international conferences.

He sees patients at various locations in the North Dallas Area, including MCP Plano, MCP Frisco, Lifecare hospital, Encompass Rehab Facility.

Education

Dr. Raza completed his medical degree with distinction from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan

Medicine residency

Followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the Marshfield Clinic

Fellowship

Fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI.
